Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory and Aquarium
Panacea, FL

I am actively recruiting interns for the fall semester for the Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Panacea, FL. Our non-profit aquarium and specimen business has worked with interns from FSU for the past four years providing them with experience in hands on education programs for visiting field trip groups, husbandry of aquatic organisms, care, release and rehabilitation of rescued marine turtles, collection of marine specimens, and assignments that introduce them to the marine environment and the organisms that inhabit our local estuarine and marine habitats. Our typical intern is usually a junior or senior pursuing DIS credit. They normally work  two days a week at our facility on the coast (about a 30 minute drive from Tally).

If you have any students who would be interested in such an internship, please have them contact me ASAP. They should send me a resume and a cover letter. My contact information follows, if you have further questions or concerns please feel free to contact me yourself.
