Could Mars support life? How would the age of a meteorite be useful in finding the answer? EOAS professor Dr. Munir Humayun, a planetary geochemist, is quoted in this LA Times article.

Congratulations to Kyle Ahern, an EOAS graduate student who finished his undergraduate Meteorology degree summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA, on being awarded the prestigious Father James B. Macelwane Medal by the American Meteorological Society.  Kyle was awarded the medal based on his outstanding work on his Senior Honors Project - Analysis of Convective Transport of Biomass Burning Emissions in Southeast Asia.
