The satellite Aquarius

The Center for Climate Sciences at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory will hot its annual week-long Summer School, on the topic of “Using Satellite Observations to Advance Climate Models” this August. The School will be held at Caltech in Pasadena, California, from August 5 to 9, 2013, and is co-sponsored by NASA's Earth Science Division and Caltech's Keck Institute for Space Studies. We have room for about 25 graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to attend, and will cover all of their expenses (including international travel if needed).

Michael Lowry, Reubin O'D. Askew Alumni Award Recipient

Congratulations to Michael Lowry, 2013 recipient of the Reubin O’D. Askew Young Alumni Award, the highest honor bestowed upon young alumni by the Alumni Association. The award will be presented at the Young Alumni Awards Dinner in Tallahassee, FL on Friday, June 21st

Regional Environemtnal Change - Special Issue

A special issue in the journal of the Regional Environmental Change (a Springer publication) entitled “Multi-disciplinary assessment of the Southeastern US climate” will be available in August 2013. There will be a limited number of print copies of this special issue available through the Florida Climate Institute at Florida State University and the University of Florida.
